EL-SPICE MEDIA; SET TO
UNVEIL KOMMON SENSE INTER-COLLEGE COMPETITION.
According to report reaching us, El-spice Media Group, publishers of the Kommon Sense Communication Tool, are finalizing plans of unveiling an extended format of Kommon Sense which they call Kommon Sense Inter-College Competition.
According to the Executive Director of El-spice Media Group, who
is also the inventor of Kommon Sense and the Initiator of the Inter-College
Competition, Victor prince Dickson, Kommon Sense Inter-College is an
alternative learning platform specifically designed for Secondary School students
with the aim to convert peer
pressure to peer education.
Ultimately, the project is focused on critical and moral empowerment;
which is why the theme for this maiden edition is ‘Building A Culture For The Future’
According to him, “Nigeria is grappling with so many
challenges; these challenges are borne out of attitudinal failures and a weak
critical, strategic and creative thinking culture. These translate to
corruption, indiscipline, poor education, poverty, poor leadership, unstable
economy, lack of good governance, etc.
Changing this culture overnight is not possible, however, it
is possible to begin now to build a new culture by empowering Nigerians
especially youths to think critically, plan strategically and evolve creatively
based on value based approach to solving issues which will be anchored on morals
and ethically proven principles”.
The Competition he said, will measure the preparedness of
students in the face of real life issues, by defining meanings and concepts and
applying them to real time challenges. It is a strategic communication based
competition.
The programme is set to be officially unveiled to the public
on the 16th of September 2015, in Jos, Plateau State Nigeria.
Registration is in two categories; Independent Category and the
School. However, independent participants must be proven students of a Secondary
School.
