MEET THE GOVERNOR OF KIC NIGERIA 2015: VEN. SELCAN MINER (OFR)



Venerable Selcan Miner is one of the most respected sons of Plateau State, an elder statesman with several decades of experiences across several leadership roles. He is one of the first indigenous Senior District Officer in Nigeria.

A Commissioner of Education under J.D. Gomwalk, former Secretary to the Military Government of the then Benue-Plateau, he is also one of the founding fathers of the University of Jos, a committed servant of God, a true apostle of values, ethics and morals.Venerable Selcan Miner is an Officer of the Federal Republic (OFR)
According to the Governor,

            “There is hope in the youth of the country and this has never come out so forcefully in any event like it is in this competition. The truth is that we are a society without direction and if you see the values in Kommon Sense you will know that it has a lot of meaning. I admire the idea a lot because it allows us to build confidence in ourselves.
In fact, this should be taken to religious circle and even to the junior learning level. This is a pilot, I hope that as people begin to think, more schools will begin to participate and the society will surely begin to better.”
